Join the Penningtonville Presbyterian Church in their Christmas Tree Lighting at Community Park (behind Penningtonville Presbyterian Church, 406 Main Street) from 6-8 p.m. on Sunday, December 6th. The Octorara Intermediate School Band will be performing. There will be Hot Chocolate, a Cookie Bar, and a special visit from Santa. All are welcome to come and kick off the Holiday Season.
Visit with Santa! Bring your family and friends! Atglen Public Library is hosting a Breakfast with Santa event on Saturday, December 11 from 8:30 am to 11 am at Penningtonville Presbyterian Church, 406 Main Street, Atglen.
The day will include food, arts and crafts, music, and a visit with Santa. Bring your camera if you want to capture a photo with Santa.
This is a fundraising event for the Atglen Public Library. Tickets are $ 10 for adults, $ 5 for children 3 to 12, and children 2 and under are free.

PennDot is rehabilitating two bridges on Route 41(Gap Newport Pike) in Atglen Borough and West Fallowfield and West Sadsbury Townships. The project is expected to take two months and finish in December. During construction Route 41 will be closed and detoured between Route 10 and US 30. The Borough Council will consider the adoption of the Budget at the December7 public meeting, 7 pm.
Please place both your trash and recycling containers out for Wednesday pickup (it may be best to set them out on Tuesday evening). Two collection trucks will come for pickup, one for trash and one for recycling. The trucks will come at separate times.
